I have been into birding since the early 80's,when I was avidly twitching everything possible.I left the birding scene in the early 90's,only really going birding when I was abroad on holidays.Then after a telephone call from an old friend to say that there were Waxwings in Cardiff in 2004 the bug bit me again and I have not looked back.I bought my first DSLR in 2008.

Waxwings at last
The rest of the UK is awash with them and at last they're here now!! 12 birds on New road,Cardiff in a quick half hour between work.
