I have been into birding since the early 80's,when I was avidly twitching everything possible.I left the birding scene in the early 90's,only really going birding when I was abroad on holidays.Then after a telephone call from an old friend to say that there were Waxwings in Cardiff in 2004 the bug bit me again and I have not looked back.I bought my first DSLR in 2008.

Squacco Heron.
Squacco heron,what a bird.Very obliging,so much so that it kept walking towards us and we had to move away from it to get it in focus!
